Complea spiller nøglerolle i digitalisering af hundredvis af Maersk-skibe

Complea A/S, der siden 2010 har leveret IT- og digitaliseringsløsninger til private og offentlige organisationer i hele Danmark, skal være med til at opgradere Maersks flåde af 450 skibe med moderne IoT-kommunikation.
Complea A/S har netop indgået en aftale med A.P. Møller - Maersk om at understøtte Maersks opgradering af hele IoT-kommunikationsplatformen ombord på 450 skibe – inkl. mere end 100 indchartrede skibe. Projektet omfatter en udskiftning af de eksisterende 2G-netværk med hurtigere 4G-teknologi samt integration af avancerede IoT-løsninger.
Complea er udvalgt som en af kerneleverandørerne på projektet, og opgaverne omfatter blandt andet programmering af hardwareudstyr samt test, præ-installationer og endelig implementering i 29 forskellige havne verden over.
"Vi har tidligere løst enkeltstående opgaver for Maersk, men vi er utroligt stolte over at være en del af et projekt af denne kompleksitet og størrelse i den maritime sektor," siger Morten Hovaldt, CEO i Complea, der siden 2010 har leveret specialiserede IT-løsninger til den danske maritime branche.
Det unikke ved projektet er, at det muliggør pålidelige, nær-realtidsdata fra hver enkelt container – både til søs og i havn. IoT-enhederne gør det muligt konstant at overvåge containerens placering, luftfugtighed og temperatur.
"Moderniseringen af en så stor og forskelligartet flåde er en kompleks opgave. Vi har været involveret i projektet helt fra den konceptuelle fase og har også spillet en vigtig rolle i den indledende implementering på fem pilotfartøjer forud for den globale udrulning, som allerede er godt i gang," tilføjer Morten Hovaldt.
"Med vores nye moderniserede connectivity-platform kan vi tilbyde vores kunder en række betydelige fordele, herunder sporing af gods i realtid, større gennemsigtighed i forsyningskæden og øget driftseffektivitet. Platformen er designet til at understøtte tusindvis af IoT-enheder og skal sikre en optimal ydeevne i forhold til sporing af kølecontainere og flådens IoT-løsninger," siger Kjeld Dittmann, Head of Vessel & Cargo Connectivity i Maersk.

Complea provides key support in IoT connectivity upgrade aboard Maersk vessels

Complea A/S, a provider of IT and digitalization solutions to private and public organizations across Denmark since 2010, is playing a key role in Maersk’s efforts to upgrade IoT connectivity on 450 vessels.
Complea A/S has entered into an agreement with A.P. Moller - Maersk to support the IoT connectivity platform aboard 450 vessels, including more than 100 time-chartered vessels. This transformation includes replacing the existing onboard 2G networks with high-speed 4G and integrating advanced IoT technologies.
Complea has been selected as a supplier for the project, and among other things, Complea’s scope of work includes all programming of hardware equipment plus testing, pre-installations and final project rollout in 29 different ports around the globe.
“While we’ve previously worked with Maersk on individual assignments, we are incredibly proud to be part of a project of such complexity and scope in the maritime industry,” says Morten Hovaldt, CEO of Complea, which has delivered specialized IT solutions to the Danish maritime sector since 2010.
The unique value of the project lies in the ability to deliver reliable, near real-time data from every container onboard—both while at sea and in port. The IoT devices will enable constant monitoring of each container’s location, humidity, and temperature.
“Modernizing such a large and diverse fleet is a complex challenge. We have been part of the project from the Proof of Concept phase and have also played a key support role in the initial implementation across five pilot vessels ahead of the global rollout, which is already well underway,” Hovaldt adds.
